THE REGIONAL WILDLIFE PARK (E.N.R.) VISIT.

We are off to visit with E.N.R (Regional
Wildlife Park). It is 9 a.m. and we walk
across the dunes looking for the :
                    "Harbour Seals".
Along the way, Murielle explains a lot
of things about the seals' lives.
We are are going to take turns with
the telescope.
I can see four seals !!!
Distemper has killed thousands of Harbour
Seals in Europe. We learn to recognise the
differents parts of a seal's body, and to tell
the difference, on the horizon, between
a piece of wood and a seal.
We learn to recognise the outline of
a dolphin, a turtle, a shark and a seal.
We mustn't get nearer than
560 yds (500 m.) to the seals because if
we frighten them, they will go and not
come back.

A seal has short hair and a lot of fat.
If it scratches us, we can became ill and so
can he, as there are germs under his claws.

Juliette.

We take turns in looking
through the binoculars.
