We
are looking for seals with Murielle
and others from "C.M.N.F.".
We walk and arrive at the beach
at Fort-Vert.
Murielle
explains about the mating season :
it's in summer and the male
has
many females.
We look through a telescope and can see
four
seals
!!! Then three very beautiful
seals with some birds.
If we got closer than 560 yds (500 m.),
they would go. If we wanted to caress them,
they would scratch us and we
would get ill,
and the seals too because to
defend
themselves, they scratch and under
their claws, there are germs.
The seal is a marine mammal with short,
thick hair.
It has fat and can stay in the water without
being cold. On the sand,
its drags itself but
it cannot stay out of the water for long.
If I ran a race against a seal on sand,
I would win, but in
water it would be him.
Murielle showes us a map and
asks us where we can find
seals, turtles, dolphins, sharks...
and we find them !
Murielle is very nice.
