Our parents are curious about our outings
with Murielle and Jacky. They start to become
more and more interested in the small colony
of Harbour Seals settled on a sandbank near Calais.

One day, unable to resist any longer, they join us :
it's 28th June, the weather is good, it's almost
the holidays and everyone is thrilled.

Catherine, Marion's mother, says : « it's an  interesting
and enriching experience which has allowed me
to get to know our coastline better and see the seals
near us on the beach near Fort-Vert. »

Sylvie, Justine's mother,  remarks : « When the teacher asked me to accompany the children on a visit to see
the seals, I could hardly believe it ! Seals in our region !
It came as a surprise to me, after a long walk across
the dunes, to discover them on a sandbank. I have
to admit on that day, I rediscovered my childhood,
such was my enthusiasm. »

We are sure that during the outing our parents
understood our passsion for the seals.

Whilst we were watching the seals through
the telescope, we were grouped together moving
as little as possible and above all not making
any noise to disturb them.

Seeing how we behaved, our parents realised
that we really wanted to respect their tranquility.

Now, we are sure they are ready to help us
in our plan to protect the seals and to get to know
the organisations and associations
which work in this field.
